LEISURE

FAQS

All Jet Ski users must be fully insured and complete a registration form found in the back of our Code of Practice for Recreational Users. All rules and regulations must be adhered to including the speed limits of the port.

You can swim west of the harbour arm at Newhaven or on Tide Mills beach between Newhaven and Seaford.

A speed restriction of 8 knots is in force from the breakwater end to the West Pier corner.

In the Harbour area north of West Pier corner and the River Ouse beyond, the maximum speed is 5 knots.

These restrictions are in place primarily to prevent damage to the riverbank and small vessel moorings, but more importantly, for the safety of all Harbour users.

To report an incident please fill in the online form here.

Our 24-hour number is:  01273 612926 or use our email for marine matters only: admin@newhavenport.com

The Harbour Byelaws do not allow fishing.
