Commercial Shipping

All vessels must use the services of a local shipping agent to facilitate the efficient exchange of information required, arrange for services and to be available in case of any problems/incidents. Users should also familiarise themselves with Port Control.

All vessels must report to Newhaven Radio on VHF Channel 12 at least 1 hour before arrival at the Pilot station, which is situated 1 nautical mile SW of the Western Breakwater. The anchorage is situated 1.5 nautical miles SW of western Breakwater.

East Quay Commercial Terminal

• Operated by Newhaven Port & Properties Ltd. Tel: 01273 612900
• 195m of berth frontage, dredged to 5m.
• Vessels up to 112m LOA. (Vessels up to 120m may be acceptable after individual risk assessment. All vessels 90m+ must have a working bowthruster). Maximum beam of 20m.
• Sand and Gravel imports by Brett Aggregates
• All other trade enquiries welcome.

No.1 RoRo Berth and Ferry Terminal

• Roll on-roll off ferry traffic up to 145m LOA and 6m draft.

No.2 RoRo Berth

• Operated by Newhaven Port & Properties Ltd. Tel: 01273 612900
• Not presently in use as a ferry berth. Dredged to 4.5m and used as a lay-by berth.

North Quay Berths (NAABSA Berths)
