New EV car for Newhaven Port
On 4 December, Gary Milan, Safety, Health, Environment & Operations Manager at Newhaven Port, travelled to Poole to attend the regional Ports Mini Conference arriving in Newhaven Port’s new electric vehicle.
Reflecting on the visit, Gary said:
“Maintaining a strong presence with our fellow ports and the British Ports Association is extremely important. The Poole Mini Conference was a valuable opportunity to share ideas, exchange knowledge and discuss the common challenges facing our industry. Presentations covered Modern Slavery & Smuggling, Environmental Monitoring Requirements and Falmouth Harbour.”

It represents the first step in the transition of our fleet and forms part of wider plans to rethink how power is generated and used across the site.
